She lies sleepless with wonder,
With hope everlasting.
Her smile hides her doubts deep under.
Her heart crashed with an echoing thunder,
And doubts the potential
happiness life will bring.
She lies sleepless with wonder.
She floats in the depth of her mind, thoughts are somber,
Searching through the clouds in her mind to hear the angels sing.
Her smile hides her doubts.
The scars are worsening, rising in number,
She sits in the floor, her teddy bear she clings.
She lies sleepless.
She crawls to the bathroom, razor in hand, thinking her life is blundered,
Screams and wishes for the place where God is king.
One swift move
She lies, sleeping.
